Bester acted as technical advisor in the design phase and construction of the project, and as the supplier of the main equipment.

The project, which belongs to the municipality of Celano, has been built and is being operated in form of concession by the company Celano Green Energy SPA, a society of Quercus Assets Selection investment fund.

The plant, with a surface of 29 hectares, is located in the Centre of Italy, specifically in Celano, a town of the province of L’Aquila, in the region of Abruzzo.

Currently the 20 MWp produce approximately 30.600 MWh/year of electricity, that generates energy for 9,300 Italian standard homes. And it reduces emissions in some 23,500 tCO2eq per year.

The Bester team said “we are proud to have been part of this project, bringing our technical expertise through highly qualified engineers”. “A project that has been executed in 10 months, and in which 13 local companies have participated, employing up to 80 people”.

Italy is one of the regions in which Bester has greater presence, as it currently operates and maintains 80 photovoltaic plants, totaling more than 130 MW, distributed throughout the country.
