The company IHS Technology positioned Bester Generación as a turnkey EPC contractor leader in the emerging photovoltaic solar markets in Europe in its publication “Emerging PV Markets Tracker Q2 2014”
This publication is a quarterly report THAT presents the current PV landscape, drivers and barriers, and the outlook for 40 markets.
The activities the company is conducting in the solar energy field in emerging countries occurred mainly in 2013, responding to the potential that renewable energy had in Romania, so 90 MWp were put into operation across 5 MWp photovoltaic systems: Solaris (56 MWp), Aricestii (3 x 9MWp) and Caracal (7 MWp). In 2012 the Group had carried out other three photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 26 MWp.
Bester Gneración’s installed capacity in Romania now stands at 120 MWp, photovoltaic plants that currently are being operated and maintained, since the EPC contracts signed by the company are generally supported by the subsequent operation and maintenance services.
Internationalization process in other emerging markets
The Bester Generación’s growth plan in emerging markets for the period 2014-2015 includes the construction of photovoltaic parks in emerging Latin American countries like Mexico, Honduras and Chile.
The parks in these countries will increase more than 300 MW of installed capacity, so Bester Generación will be successfully positioned in the Latin American solar photovoltaic market.
