Bester closes the year 2015 having taken many measures against climate change.

Bester, company dedicated to the development, engineering, construction, and operation and maintenance of renewable energy infrastructures, continues to promote green energy and is committed to build a sustainable world to enjoy a better future.

As of December 1st, 2015, Bester has a 100% renewable energy supplier with a Guarantee of Origin. Gesternova is already the marketer of the Bester group in Spain, both for its headquarters in Seville, as well as for the company belonging to the Group located in Madrid, Progressum.

The energy that Gesternova supplies has Certificates of Origin that the National Energy Commission regulates in the order ITC 1522 / 2007 of 24 May. In this way, Bester reduces the impact generated by its daily activities on the environment, avoiding emissions of gases, such as C02, that contribute to the greenhouse effect.

Other important activities carried out by the company throughout the year 2015 must be added to this initiative.

Bester began the year continues, on a voluntary basis and as a compensatory measure, the withdrawal of emissions of CO2, equivalent to the removal of CO2 gases. This is a big step in their struggle to reduce the pollution that causes global warming.

In spring, the company adhered to the SACE, Andalusian System of Compensation of Emissions, to participate actively against climate change, signing an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Environment and assumed commitments audit, reduce, and offset, if possible, its emissions.

At the same time, Bester was given the certificate of inscription in the register of carbon footprint, compensation and absorption projects granted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, which allows companies, on a voluntary basis, to calculate the carbon footprint of their activities and make it public and associate it, where appropriate, with commitments of direct reduction or compensation.

Jose Manuel Leal, responsible for Quality and Environment in Bester, stresses that “companies are an essential element in the solution of climate change, and, for that reason, Bester has since 2013 a Greenhouse Effect Gas Emissions Control System (ISO 14064), and every year we increase the number of actions that help reduce our carbon footprint” , and thus reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”
